Almshouse accommodation is available to people resident in the Greater London Area (excluding the City of London) who are over the age of 60, who are able to live independently and who have a clear financial or social need for the type of accommodation which we offer.

We provide one-bedroomed, self-contained flats in a modern block at the top of Sydenham Hill in South London. The block contains 50 flats, arranged over five floors, of which 48 are designed to be occupied by beneficiaries of the Charity. The remaining two are for the use of resident staff.

Each flat has an entrance hall, a lounge, separate bedroom capable of accommodating two single beds or one double bed, fitted kitchen and a wet room. Ground floor flats have French windows leading directly onto the grounds. All flats above the ground floor have a balcony or in the case of flats on the top floor, a roof terrace.

Alongside the 50 flats, the block also includes two guest units for use by residents' visitors. Each guest unit comprises a double bedroom, a wet room, and facilities for making light refreshments (fridge, kettle and microwave).

"Getting into The Heights came at the right time. It's like coming home as I grew up locally. The staff are so friendly, helpful and supportive."
